However, when the killer's DNA is found on the first victim's horse, it's revealed to be the woman's father, who couldn't stand the way the sorority girls broke his daughter's confidence years ago and then resumed their torment at the stable. After he is arrested, the daughter tries to hang herself, but Horatio gets there in time to save her. In the end, Horatio gives her the hope and confidence to start a new life.

The CSIs investigate the death of Henry Duncan when his body washes ashore after being gored by a speeding boat. The boat, stolen from its owner, is found with traces of car oil. Duncan, an accountant, was a do-gooder and was about to expose improper business practices going on within his company and a home builder. On his way to work Duncan noticed a young boy in distress, follows him, and sees him get into a car with a tatted guy. However, Duncan gets cut off by a truck driver going the opposite direction. It turns out the kid was being used as a drug mule. Henry calls 9-1-1 to report what looks like the abduction of the kid and then calls the call center listed on the back of the truck to report the bad driving. It turns out the truck driver was fired as a result of Henry's call. In revenge, the driver stole the boat and killed Henry.

The CSIs uncover a female victim on the Navarro estate that matches Esteban's MO. Vina Navarro, Esteban's grandmother, comes forward to help solve the case. However, things take a twist when the team also discovers the three-decade-old remains of a male victim, with evidence linking Diego to the murder. Before he can be arrested, Vina shoots Diego in what appears to be self-defense. Later, the team decodes a microchip disguised as a lollipop in Diego's pocket, which leads them to Esteban's murder lair and the evidence needed to put him away for good.

When a rabid dog kills a janitor at a renowned tennis academy, it's clear someone engineered the attack to target Coach Larry Hopper, Miami's most popular tennis coach. The team discovers Hopper was involved in a child sexual abuse case ten years prior, but settled out of court. Could the victim now be back for revenge? Calleigh learns that Austin North is a student at the academy and grows suspicious when pro player and academy alumnus, Jack Brody, takes a special interest in him. Forensics prove that Brody orchestrated the attack, and he eventually confesses to sending in the wild dog in an attempt to prevent Hopper from molesting Austin next. It's also discovered that the janitor knew that Hopper was assaulting young boys but chose to look the other way.

When a freelance journalist is poisoned, the CSIs must figure out if her murder was provoked by a story she was doing on Miami Councilman Randall Stafford. After Stafford's DNA is found at her apartment, his attorneys, Darren Vogel and Gabrielle Wade, are able to dismiss the evidence on grounds of tampering. The team begins suspecting the journalist was actually doing a story on Vogel, not Stafford, after discovering that Stafford helped cover up a murder committed by another of Vogel's clients. It turns out that Vogel is blackmailing his clients to facilitate his firm, and he likely had Denise killed after discovering she was on to him through Stafford. Before they can arrest Vogel, Gabrielle admits to being the sole instigator of the firm's criminality, even though Horatio suspects Vogel is blackmailing her into being his scapegoat. And Calleigh reveals to Eric that she is thinking of adopting Austin and Patty North.

CSI Wolfe is a suspect when one of the team's enemies, ASA Josh Avery, is murdered. When the investigation becomes deadly, Samantha Owens ends up having to be rescued. The episode ends with Ryan's discovering that Sam is the one responsible for killing Josh. Also, Calleigh ends up adopting Austin and Patty North.

The CSI team loses Jesse Cardoza when a psychotic genius runs wild in Miami. In the cliffhanger episode from last season, the killer has released a gas into the lab's ventilation system and incapacitated the team. The CSI must find out who the killer is and beat the clock before it's too late.

When a bottle girl is murdered at an exclusive club, Horatio must search through Miami's most elite guest list to find her killer.

A blind man is the only witness to the abduction of a young girl and leads the team to a familiar foe, Joe LeBrock. A jailbreak occurs and LeBrock reveals that they are targeting Caine.

A young woman dies from carbon monoxide poisoning but the man with her survives, in what appears to be a suicide pact related to their credit card debt. Meanwhile, Delko starts seeing his dead colleague Tim Speedle due to hallucinations resulting from the brain injury he sustained in the previous season.

A legendary football hero is stabbed to death while talking to a reporter on the phone. The case hits an immediate snag when the lab isn't allowed to take the body because of the victim's wish to be cryogenically frozen. Robbery appears to be the motive, but as the probe deepens it's learned the sports icon wasn't revered by everyone. Also, Stetler learns about the relationship between Calleigh and Jake, and puts pressure on them to end it.

A man is strangled to death near a hotel pool during a total eclipse of the sun and evidence found at the scene suggests the killer may not be fully human. Twelve hours later, a woman is murdered in similar fashion in her apartment. The probe reveals the first victim dealt drugs out of a hotel cabana, while the second victim spent most of her time in Internet chat rooms. Also, Ryan is reinstated, and Alexx is taken to a hospital after collapsing in the lab.

A model dies by electrocution on a runway during a fashion show, and the investigation reveals the death wasn't an accident but murder. The probe also turns up evidence that the victim is connected to the man who kidnapped Horatio's son, which may mean that Kyle is in greater danger than Horatio feared.

A young man is shot to death in a hotel elevator, and the murder appears to have ties to a gang initiation. Meanwhile, every member of the victim's family is bent on exacting revenge on the shooter.

Three gunrunners are killed by a new high-tech weapon called "The Vaporizer." And after Horatio interviews the CEO of the defense contractor that made the weapon, he also turns up dead.

A billionaire is murdered in his Miami home just before he can sign an important legal document. When Horatio arrives on the scene, he's shocked to discover that the victim's widow is his former lover and Kyle's mother. She is also a leading suspect in her husband's homicide. In court, Kyle goes on trial for kidnapping and his mother makes it clear she will do anything to regain custody of him.

The CSI investigates the death of a bride which leads them to a strip club for investigation. As more investigation goes on, the CSI finds out the bride may not be the target by the killer.

The CSIs find the body of Kathleen Newberry, but the money she got is missing. Horatio pays another visit to Julia Winston, but Julia has Horatio arrested for the murder of Antonio Riaz and extradited to Brazil. While investigating the case, Calleigh finds out her crime scene photos have been stolen and posted on the internet. The website eventually leads to ex-lab technician Dan Cooper, who has a personal grudge against Calleigh. Calleigh is kidnapped by somebody who knows her through the internet.

Calleigh's kidnappers want her to cover up a murder. Horatio returns from Brazil, and he and the team race to find Calleigh before her kidnappers decide she's no longer needed.

The team springs into action to stop a vigilante who is hunting down and killing Internet predators, who were exposed on a show which lures predators by pretending to be teenage girls. Horatio ends the episode as he prepares to torture the predator, claiming that he was resisting arrest.

After a body is found in a sinkhole, the team's investigation into the victim's death leads them to a robbery where the target is keeping a shocking secret.

When Alexx's son becomes a suspect in a murder, saving him has dire consequences. Alexx decides to leave her job as a coroner when she realizes she's spending too much time with the dead. She leaves to spend more time with her family from whom she's grown distant.

Horatio faces off with a private investigator (Tom Sizemore) who is systematically destroying the team. Calleigh is taken off the case because of her recent kidnapping and so is Eric because of the shooting in season five. The case is a man getting killed after a prank 911 call.

A man dies when he falls from a vacant high-rise building. When a new medical examiner, Shannon Higgins arrives at the scene to inspect the body, she is shot in the head and dies almost immediately, triggering a gunfight between the Miami PD and the unseen shooter. The investigation reveals the man was involved in illegal ammunition sales. But the case gets personal when Horatio links the victim to Kyle's stepfather. At the end of the episode, Horatio is mortally shot from an unknown killer. Then the killer himself sends a message to Wolfe: "It's done".

Horatio and Delko travel to Rio to find that Riaz, the man responsible for Marisol's murder, has been released from custody. While there, Horatio meets Yelina and learns that his brother may be connected to Riaz. Meanwhile Ray Jnr. accepts work from Riaz to mule drugs to Miami, unaware of the recent death of his father. Riaz is finally found in Rio, and dies in a knife-fight with Delko and Caine. Back in Miami, Natalia, now a CSI, helps Ryan investigate the beating death of a woman, and her inexperience leads to problems for Calleigh in the office. Caine, now also back in Miami, manages to track down and rescue his nephew.

A routine murder investigation at a hotel becomes more complex when an unknown vehicle crashes Calleigh's Hummer into a body of water, compromising most of the evidence collected at the scene. It is revealed that the victim was an undercover agent in the Crypt Kings biker gang, working alongside another operative named Jake Berkeley, Calleigh's former Academy classmate and boyfriend. Further investigations into the gang reveal the murder weapon as a CornerShot device, and the gang's involvement in gunrunning.

The team investigates a robbery and suspicious double murder at a "Bling-bling" party hosted by a famous jewelry designer in town. They soon find that one of the victims, a celebrity named Dakota Hudson, was listed on the "Death Pool 100". Investigations turn towards those poised to profit by her untimely death, ultimately leading to revelations of fake diamonds and offshore gambling and counterfeiting. Ryan is also caught out, by an embarrassed Calleigh, holding dead pool related "super-notes".

The team investigates the death of a famous male model after his body is found stuck under a boat. Later on they reveal a sick and twisted secret of the agency he worked for.

The body of a local politician is found in an empty house. The entire neighborhood was upset that he was backing the use of eminent domain, allowing the government to force them out of their homes. During the period of investigation, some members of the team have to deal with their enemies in the past while some have to come to terms with the nature of the profession they are pursuing.

When a believer in Santeria, a mix of Catholicism and African voodoo, is found murdered in front of her shrine of animal sacrifices, bizarre incidents start happening around the CSI lab and people speculate that the lab is cursed. However, the case takes an unexpected turn when the CSIs discover that the victim may have been murdered over a tangled plot involving stolen gold.

After an accident where the driver was decapitated during a dangerous stunt, the evidence leads the CSIs to believe it was more than an accident. While gathering the evidence, the CSIs find they must go into the world of "sideshows."

A murder and kidnapping becomes personal when DNA from a crime scene reveals that Natalia's sister Anya (Natalie Morales) is one of the kidnapped women they are looking for. The team finds a safe full of photos of missing women and they must find the photographer who was using his camera to lure the unsuspecting women. This episode was based on the photographer William Richard Bradford who photographed Eva LaRue's sister.

After a young woman is found dead shortly after she was auctioned off for charity, the team finds that the woman was trying to uncover the true nature of the event's host. As the team delves deeper into the investigation they soon discover a larger plot that could put Miami in danger.

A Marine recruiter is found dead on a civilian shooting range with various bullet holes in him, but there is no blood at the scene. The CSIs find out that the victim was dead before he was shot and that his body was pulled onto the range. As the case advances, Horatio determines the murder may be tied to the death of a marine in Iraq who was killed in combat. Natalia is shocked to learn that Nick asked Valera out and that she accepted.

When terror suspect Sonya Barak is targeted by her own people for assassination, she goes on the run, and Horatio sets out to capture her, both to protect her and bring her to justice. Calleigh and Ryan investigate when a dead body is found in the trunk of Sonya's escape vehicle.

The only strange thing about the case is the murder weapon: a nailgun. However, things become personal for the team when Ryan is attacked and left injured after being shot in the eye with a nailgun while revisiting the crime scene.

Meanwhile, Ryan must deal with the consequences of freezing during a raid on the chopshop.

During an A-list house party, an heiress is found electrocuted in her own bathtub. The list of suspects includes her musician boyfriend, her assistant, and her main modelling rival. Delko learns that Horatio and Marisol are soon to be married and has mixed feelings about their wedding.

The Mala Noche gang trial is stopped when the defendant escapes with the help of a fake witness and a gunman in the audience. Delko finds that a beautiful but disturbed ex-lover is stalking any woman who he is now close too, including his sister. When a hit is ordered by the Mala Noche gang on Horatio, Marisol however is the one who is critically wounded by a sniper's bullet and later succumbs to her wound and dies. When the gunman is found, Caine and Delko both go vigilante in their desire to see justice done.

The eventual capture of gang leader Diego Riaz brings additional problems, as he strikes a plea bargain and is deported to Brazil - leaving Caine and Delko on a new mission seeking justice.

Meanwhile, Calleigh and Ryan work together to determine whether an insecure and underage teenager at the club that night had anything to do with the murder.

The wife of a famous baseball player is brutally killed in her home and her philandering husband is charged with the crime. It's cruise season in Miami, which means that the population of Miami swells, giving the team even more suspects to the murder. Meanwhile, Calleigh must investigate when a woman goes missing, and is later found dead, after she and her husband attend a hot and flirty "friction" party.

When the CSIs find a woman swallowed whole and killed by a gigantic snake, they uncover a covert drug smuggling operation. Evidence leads Horatio and the team to a drug smuggling operation where large snakes are suspected of being used to bring illegal drugs into the country to avoid detection by customs. However, when Horatio finds that Clavo Cruz, a nemesis of Horatio's who hides behind his diplomatic immunity, may be behind the operation, the team must find a legal way to put the criminal behind bars. Meanwhile, Calleigh and Wolfe investiagte when two women each claim that they are the real victim of identity theft and the other is the culprit.

However, when the team uncovers an illegal moonshine operation and homemade ammunitions in the vicinity, the CSIs uncover the real reason why the boy was out there.

The crime scene evidence reveals a victim, a young fundraising socialite, who was inside the plane but killed prior to the crash. An IRS agent is killed while trying to repossess a delinquent taxpayer's yacht. Soon after, the CSIs discover a second IRS agent shot to death. Now, just when everyone has a reason to detest the IRS, Horatio must find who is behind what could possibly be a series of murders right before tax day.

Josh Dalton, a hot, young reporter for the Miami Sun, witnesses the murder of his friend, a city councilman's aide, in Miami's drug district, the Golden Triangle. Josh, who was suspiciously unharmed in the attack, claims that they were only down there on a story, but Horatio believes that there's more to the situation. Later, another writer from the same paper is found shot to death inside the trunk of her car, which was reported stolen. Now, as the evidence rejects Josh's version of what happened, the CSIs find themselves entangled in the world of fast-paced journalism and learn that there is a dangerously fine line between the truth and what sells newspapers.

A police officer collapses and dies after pulling over a car, and the investigation reveals he was murdered. Horatio grows suspicious when Internal Affairs gets involved in the case, leading him to believe that the killing wasn't a random crime. Meanwhile, Calleigh aids an abused woman who is living with one of the suspects in the probe. Yelina begins dating Horatio's nemesis—who is heading up the Internal Affairs inquiry.

After a small plane crashes at a Miami beach and the pilot dies, Horatio finds remnants at the crash site of chemical used in making cocaine, and it seems that the victim's business partner may have sabotaged the aircraft. However, when evidence suggests that the pilot may have died before the crash, the team investigates the victim's neighbors—all wealthy residents of a secluded cul-de-sac where lust, jealousy and greed are dangerous motives for murder.

A security guard is found dead after shots ring out at a rap star's concert and the CSIs must investigate. Rap star 10-Large won't talk to the police regarding the murder or why someone would try to kill him. But when evidence suggests that perhaps 10-Large's bodyguard was the intended target, the CSIs must look into the dangerous world of personal security. Meanwhile, Alexx gets the shock of her life when a supposed cadaver from a recent car accident wakes up in her morgue, suffering only from hypothermia.

When a teenage girl returns home from a big party night at an underage nightclub to find her parents murdered, the search for the killer leads Horatio to New York City. Before he arrives, the New York detectives, led by Detective Mac Taylor, are called out to investigate the shooting of an undercover police officer—who, it turns out, is the lead suspect in the Miami case. However, the medical examiner determines that he has been dead for 72 hours and could not even have been alive at the time of the double-murder in Miami. After further investigation, Horatio and Mac determine that the real killer murdered the New York cop, then used his ID to get to Miami, and is still on the loose. This was the pilot episode for CSI: NY.

An adult film actress is found strangled in the park and the CSIs must find the killer. Blood and human tissue are found under Ashley Anders' nails and the DNA matches that of the CEO of the company that distributes her films—and he is a registered sex offender. Also, Calleigh discovers his answering machine audiotape on which he makes a threat against Ashley. However, there is an accident back at the lab with this crucial piece of evidence and Delko was the last person to handle it. Now, IAB's Rick Stetler is put on the case, much to Horatio's dismay, as the CSIs try to uncover further evidence in order to find the girl's killer.

Insurance agent Scott Eric Sommer's private plane crashes in the Everglades after his pilot was shot. Only Sommer himself is found alive. His accountant seems to have struggled and jumped out. The firm was under SEC investigation.

A Colombian importer is found with a 'necklace bomb' around his neck. The bomb explodes, killing a bomb squad officer, Al, who is Horatio's friend.

What looks to be like a regular attempted kidnapping turns out to be much more than any of the detectives had bargained for.

The naked body of a male stripper who performed during a private party at a Coconut Grove estate is found the next morning in a nearby rose garden, and the CSIs have difficulty determining the cause of death. Meanwhile, Megan and Eric investigate the case of a male swimmer who suddenly dropped dead from a stab wound after climbing aboard a boat seven miles out in the Atlantic.

Horatio and his team must uncover the evidence in the brutal murder of an entire family in their own home. The only survivors are a blood-soaked toddler, and the father who is in surgery. The immediate assumption is that the mother is responsible—postpartum depression—but the evidence discloses a shocking, different outcome.

A married man and his co-worker looking for a little extracurricular fun have their ardor drowned when they find a dead woman—a prostitute—in their bungalow, which leads to a family man who has been hiding a shady past. The team handles a car jacking in which a German tourist was killed, but the circumstances look more like murder as the wife was left unharmed after the shooting.

The team investigate the manufacture of lethal drugs at mobile labs, and an elderly woman is murdered at a senior home.

Before Horatio is set to testify at a murder case in which the defendant is the husband of a city councilwoman, he's given new facts that could prove the man is innocent. There is also new information which revolves around the discovery of a second victim who would match the alleged killer's profile - if the man on trial isn't guilty.

The first is a teen girl found dead on a beach with her neck broken and human bite marks on her legs. The second is a young man found on the bottom of a motel swimming pool who apparently died before he hit the water.

Speedle and Delko are present when a trendy nightclub catches fire, apparently from a DJ's pyrotechnics display, killing 16 people and injuring dozens of others. But the ensuing investigation reveals it may have been arson to cover up a murder. Also: Horatio probes the death of a prostitute who is found dead in a judge's bathroom in his home.

An explosion in a rundown barn nearly kills Horatio and his crew just after they find a dead man inside, bound with duct tape. The case gets personal for Horatio when it is discovered that the leading suspect knew his late brother. At the lab, Alexx is shocked to learn that her best friend's husband has been murdered, apparently the victim of a random shooting.

The trouble begins when an inmate is stabbed to death in the prison yard. Shortly after Horatio arrives on the scene, a helicopter appears above the correctional facility. He immediately fears that the murder was a decoy to set up an escape. That's confirmed as three prisoners hop aboard the chopper and flee. As the investigation gets underway, the identities of the fugitives become known and a horrible realization sweeps over Horatio: Two of the escapees are cold-blooded killers who already have their next victims picked out.
