Chinese policeman Desheng is a hereditary officer of the law and a member of the Communist Party, who grew up respecting rules and protocols. They taught him everything: to fight, shoot, negotiate, but he never had a chance to apply the skills: there is perfect order in his neighborhood. But he has learned Russian well and understands our culture. So the hero gets to partner up with the metropolitan Coast.

 Kostya's personal file says that he knows Chinese, although this is not the case. It was a joke, which was why Desheng was assigned to him. Kostya himself knows only a couple of phrases and hieroglyphs from Hong Kong action movies, which his father raised him on. Therefore, he easily distinguishes Chow Yun Fat from Jackie Chan, understands weapons and wears sunglasses. The real service turned out to be more boring than the movies, but Kostya is still trying to add more action to the routine.
