The Guerrero siblings dream of bringing their mother back to the United States. El Patas, the eldest of the five brothers, works at a food stand to pay for an immigration lawyer.

Lili, Julián, and Marisol do not live with Panchita, their guardian, and they lie to Erika, the social worker, to hide that their older undocumented brothers are the ones taking care of them. Erika becomes suspicious of them.

Santiago, convinced of Marisol's talent, is willing to lose his job if she fails as a soccer player. El Patas is forced to tell Erika about his family's legal status.

José María finds his lawyer's office empty and realizes that the man stole $2,000 from him, just as he did from many immigrants. Marisol wins the scholarship and must make sacrifices for her career.

When she learns that her case was a scam, Irma, desperate, is willing to break the law to reunite with her children in the United States. The Guerrero siblings find the lawyer who scammed them.

The Guerrero siblings prove the scam with a video and recover the money by their own means. Erika manages to have the con man arrested and recommends a new lawyer to El Patas.

Lili, the youngest of the Guerrero siblings, takes a risk and travels to Mexico by bus. She hides in strangers' car to see her mother again. Marisol faints during a soccer practice.

El Patas no longer trusts Ashley. She leaves her son to go get drunk. Meanwhile, Erika offers him her support and encourages him to move forward. Rosa does not know that her boyfriend Marcos is dangerous.

Penélope, a member of the team, accuses Santiago of sexual abuse after trying to seduce him and being rejected. Marisol begins to develop feelings for the coach and is willing to prove his innocence.

Ashley makes a scene with Erika and accuses her of sleeping with her husband after seeing them together in his car in the middle of the night.

The coach defends himself before the club's disciplinary committee regarding the sexual abuse accusation and his relationship with Marisol.

The coach's innocence is proven before the club's committee when Marisol shows that Penélope tore her own clothes. Marcos spares Rosa's life.

Alma Izaguirre, the new social worker, introduces herself to the Guerrero family and recommends separating them due to so many irregularities. Erika begs her to reconsider the situation. Tito is killed.

Lina, Santiago's ex-lover, comes to see him at the club. Marisol is intrigued to find out who the mysterious woman is. Ashley finds out that El Patas saw Erika again and explodes with fury.

Julián discovers that Ashley is the mastermind behind the attack; she threatens to report El Patas to immigration and take their son away. Marisol confronts Santiago because of Lina.

The Guerrero siblings celebrate Marisol's victory after she scores the goal that gives her team the win. Erika enjoys spending time with El Patas. Ashley gets high and cannot remember where she left her son, Maddox.

José María is furious and does not forgive Ashley for leaving her son, Maddox, in an alley with prostitutes and for getting involved with Erika. He gives her an ultimatum. Marisol dreams of having a family with Santiago.

Julián and Tj are detained at the juvenile center. Ashley takes advantage of the situation and gives Alma enough reasons to separate the Guerrero siblings and get Erika out of her way. Marcos threatens Rosa.

Social services take Marisol, Lili, and Julián to different care centers. Desperate, José María goes to Erika's house, and the two give in to their feelings.

El Patas throws Ashley out of the house and out of his life for being responsible for the separation of his siblings. To save the relationship, she goes to a rehabilitation center. Santiago intervenes on Marisol's behalf.

Francisca is summoned to the first hearing in the Guerrero case, but she does not appear as their legal guardian. El Patas arrives at the courthouse and stands up for Marisol and Julián before the judge.

A guard at the juvenile center tries to rape Marisol, and she bravely defends herself. She asks Erika for help to prove her innocence. El Patas confesses that he also has feelings for Erika.

The guard who tried to rape Marisol is arrested with the help of Erika and Alma. Julián and Marisol reach the age of majority. They are happy to leave the institution and return to their family.

Ashley decides to push the Guerrero family out of the business, taking away their livelihood, convinced that it belongs to her because she is Maddox's mother. Irma, with her visa approved, seeks permission for Danielito.

After six years, Irma, the Guerrero siblings' mother, returns to the United States legally and surprises her children.

Because of Panchita, some Russians kidnap Danielito, and Irma must rescue him without telling her children anything. Her secrecy leaves them worried. Marisol confronts Amparo, Santiago's mother.

Reynaldo, Irma's lawyer, invites Erika to dinner after winning custody of Lili. José María cannot stand having seen her with another man and goes to her house to confront her. Marisol receives bad news.

José María and Erika confess their love and give in to temptation. Ashley senses that they spent the night together and is not willing to lose her man. The Guerrero family receives an eviction notice.

Ashley sends Erika a doctored photo montage. José María decides to leave the mother of his child and defend his new love. Marisol works at the club's café to help pay for part of her scholarship.

José María leaves Ashley, and she leaves the house threatening to take Maddox away from him. Her jealousy crosses the line and she forces Johnny to run over Erika, leaving her seriously injured.

José María tries to make Ashley pay for running over Erika, but he realizes that it was his friend Johnny who caused the tragedy. Megan offers Marisol steroids to make her more competitive.

Andrea finds out that Marisol has banned substances hidden in her locker and forces her to take a drug test. Alma learns that El Patas wants to donate a kidney to Erika.

Erika is between life and death. José María decides to donate his kidney to save the woman he loves. Marisol is selected for the tournament in Miami.

José María's surgery becomes complicated, and Ashley's fury erupts when she discovers that he donated a kidney to Erika. She promises revenge and begins by reclaiming the food truck from the Guerrero family.

Ashley takes revenge and takes the Guerrero family's food truck away from them. With the money from the sale, she leaves with Maddox without leaving any trace. Marisol gets injured in the first game of the tournament.

Santiago invites Marisol to spend a wonderful day sailing on the sea, and they give in to their feelings without anyone judging them. Rosa discovers that the love of her life is married.

Amparo tells the police that Irma is the only one who has the keys to her house after Julián and Eddie robbed Santiago's parents' home. El Patas learns that his son has disappeared.

At Andrea's request, Sandy keeps an eye on Marisol and catches her secretly kissing the coach, putting her career at risk. El Patas receives news about Ashley and his son.

El Patas becomes uneasy after Amparo plants more doubts about Marisol's relationship with Santiago and decides to get to the bottom of it. Irma's husband shows up at the Guerrero home.

Feeling humiliated once again, Rosa makes a mistake and sleeps with Vicente after seeing Miguel Ángel in bed with his wife. Santiago and Marisol confess to El Patas that they love each other.

Erika and José María go to Kansas to recover Maddox. They see Ashley with a stranger, getting high, and the man points a gun at them when they enter the house. They also discover Rosa and Miguel Ángel together.

When Dakota learns that Maddox is at the Guerrero house, he arrives with his motorcycle gang friends and demands that they return his grandson or face the consequences.

After Daniel unexpectedly shows up with Danielito, Irma is forced to face her children and reveal that they have another little brother. Marisol sees a video that exposes Rosa.

A confrontation breaks out between Santiago and Marisol's family after they discover that Rosa ran away with a married man, without caring about the damage they caused. José María now faces competition.

Andrea finds Marisol kissing her coach in his office and pressures her to quit soccer. José María prevents Ashley from taking his son away and files a civil lawsuit against her.

While enjoying life in Miami and losing track of time, Rosa tells Miguel Ángel that she is expecting his child, leaving him speechless. Marisol ends her relationship with Santiago.

A vasectomy rules out the possibility that Miguel Ángel is the father of the child Rosa is expecting. The Guerrero family celebrates Marisol's graduation. Guillermo provokes José María.

José María confronts Ashley before a judge, and she loses control when he exposes her as a bad mother. Rosa considers aborting the baby. Guillermo shows his true colors.

Santiago finds out that Marisol is working on the streets because Andrea forced her out of the club under threats, and he devises a plan to bring her back. Rosa offers to be a surrogate for Vicente.

Ashley, agitated and under the influence of alcohol, goes to Erika's apartment and finds José María there with his son. Marisol rejoins the soccer team, and Santiago is happy.

El Patas explodes with jealousy when Guillermo offers Erika a job in Chicago. José María asks her to move in with him. In court, it becomes clear that Maddox prefers to be with his father.

The judge grants custody of Maddox to El Patas, without denying Ashley her rights as his mother. If she overcomes her addictions, she could request a review of the case. Santiago stands up for Marisol.

The board accepts José María as an assistant on the children's team, on Santiago's recommendation. El Patas moves in with Erika. Dakota convinces Ashley to kidnap Maddox.

Santiago agrees to let Lina, his ex, stay in his apartment. Marisol refuses to give up her place and decides to move in with her boyfriend, setting conditions for her rival. Julián and TJ run away together.

José María is overcome by jealousy and loses control when he learns that Guillermo has made Erika another offer to work as his assistant. Rosa is beaten, and Antonia insists that she move in with her.

Dakota and Derick kidnap José María and plan to make him disappear without a trace. That way, custody of the child would pass to Ashley. Lina schemes to ruin Santiago and Marisol's relationship.

José María fights for his life and faces Dakota at gunpoint. In a moment of distraction, he takes her hostage, and Ashley arrives ready to pull the trigger. The Guerrero family believes that El Patas has been arrested.

Certain that José María will not return, Ashley goes to the Guerrero house to demand that they hand over her son. Her anxiety to get him back raises suspicion among everyone. Santiago is threatened.

José María is taken to an emergency center. Due to lack of resources, they decide to transfer him to a hospital, where he runs the risk of being deported. The Guerrero family discovers Ashley and Dakota.

Dakota takes Julián hostage when he arrives at his house with Marisol, Santiago, and the police to recover Maddox and guarantee his safety. Erika finds José María recovering.

Dakota forces her daughter to flee with Maddox, but Ashley unexpectedly hides the child and points a gun at her mother. Seeing her threatened, someone shoots El Patas's ex with a fatal shot.

Andrea, tired of so much rejection, sets her revenge in motion and agrees to ally herself with the man who destroyed Santiago's career.

The couple will no longer have to hide their love, and she defends him when Andrea shows a recording from her phone in which Santiago admits his relationship with Marisol. El Patas receives news.

Julián uses the stolen card again in a clothing store, but the owner recognizes him from a photograph and he is taken to jail. With the help of Lina and Amparo, Santiago manages to clear his name.

Daniel pays the consequences of being part of the Guerrero family when Dakota and two of his men throw him off a bridge. Santiago returns to the club. Julián meets TJ's father—and Ashley's.

Eddie, wearing a hood, tries to break Marisol's legs to stop her from showing up for the club's trials; however, she manages to defend herself and discovers who he is. TJ's father saves Julián.

Before Dakota kills again in cold blood, José María and TJ cooperate with the authorities to capture her. During an encounter with her, El Patas collapses after being struck by a bullet.

After overcoming multiple obstacles, El Patas and Erika decide to continue their celebration by supporting Marisol in her first professional soccer match.
