Mata Hurens, a belly dancer, has an important message for Waverly. However, when she is killed in a train explosion, April sets out to find who is responsible.
April and Mark successfully infiltrate a Thrush vessel navigating the South Pacific, a ship notoriously involved in mapping submarine routes to smuggle contraband across the Pacific Rim. As part of their mission, the U.N.C.L.E. agents incite a mutiny among the crew and manage to secure the charts detailing the smuggling operations. However, the uprising spirals out of control, leading to the destruction of the entire ship. First, April, then Mark, find themselves washed ashore on a remote island. This island is under the rule of Genghis Gomez VIII, a self-proclaimed despot who frequently plunders passing ships. Despite being highly trained, the agents find Gomez unusually challenging to deal with, complicating their efforts to regain control of the situation. Matters only worsen when the captain of the sunken Thrush ship also lands on the island, soon followed by reinforcements from Thrush, further escalating the tension and danger.
Waverly believes that a Japanese war criminal is active again. Mark and April go to Hawaii to investigate their only lead, his sister. When their informant is killed, it's obvious to Mark and to April that the sister is involved
