Having moved to St. Petersburg, General Khadyakov's wife, Valya, goes on a date with a new acquaintance, Gosha. Her husband sends her on a stakeout.

The secretary Alyona is determined to charm Khadyakov. To get into the elite club, Vala has to work on her manners and erudition.
