Kaius's life is turned upside down when he moves from grandmother Irene's house to live with his mother. His neighbor Nina becomes his babysitter. A new girl named Lola appears in Munkkivuori and becomes friends with Nina.

Nina and Lola's friendship grows stronger, but Nina's former friends and parents are skeptical about it.

The summer nights are warm and the youth hang out at the shopping mall. The girls live their lives to the fullest and dream of taking a gap year. Nina's brother Daniel is increasingly wary of the new resident in their home.

Daniel doesn't trust Lola, even though the others have already accepted her as part of the family. Nina finds out that Lola has been lying. The parents meet Nina's boyfriend Peten, and Ismo offers him a job as an assistant.

Nina's confirmation is approaching, and the family agrees that Lola can stay in Nina's room during that time. At the same time, the family's grandfather Kaarlo's behavior is becoming increasingly disturbing.

Nina returns from the confirmation camp and notices that Lola has changed. Lola's influence is evident everywhere: at the mall, among friends, and at home. Nina wonders what exactly happened during camp.

It's the last weekend of summer. There's a disco at Nuokkar and a band gig at Ugar. Nina's life is shattered in one evening when Lola's true nature dawns on her.

Mirko and his family move to his mother's childhood home, Munkkivuori. When he arrives, the entire neighborhood is deeply shaken by the recent disappearance of a little boy.

Mirko stays with his new friend Pete and his sister Heidi. The parents are behaving strangely - they want to keep the secrets away and the kids out of the basement.

Mirko's family is faced with a tragedy when his grandmother dies, but Mirko continues to make friends with the other children.

While the other friends are vacationing abroad, Mirko befriends Sampsa. Mirko's mother Anne seems to be hiding something from her husband that happened 20 years ago.

Heidi and her best friend Taina argue about Mirko. As teenage romance rages, community friendships and marriages begin to fall apart.

Mirko's relationship with Olavi deepens; as well as the gap between him and his mother Anne. Kaius tells Mirko that he found the body in the forest.

Kaius follows the children's detective club's attempts to find out what has happened to the missing boy.

Mirko wants to show his friends the body in the forest, but it has disappeared. A house party is held at Pete and Heidi's house, where Taina retreats to the bedroom with her crush.

The relationship between Mirko's parents is still icy. The owner of the local hair salon, Kari, shares the suspicions of Mirko and his friends. Has history repeated itself in the suburbs?

Past and present mysteries are solved. It's the end of summer and Mirko's family is moving again.
