The 1980 European Football Championship in Italy ends in disaster for the Dutch team. Everything goes wrong. The selection has been drilled by national coach Zwartkruis to such an extent that there is no energy left in it. The hotel where the players are staying is full of tourists, just walking in and out, just like the press. Third goalkeeper Hans van Breukelen is bullied by the older players. And then some players are also busy with possible transfers to Italy, where the transfer market just reopened in 1980 after a years-long ban. With Bennie Wijnstekers, René and Willy van de Kerkhof, Hans van Breukelen, Eric Vilé and four Orange supporters from 1980.

At their first club vv Helpman, former teammates talk about the brothers.
