The police officially report the death of Maritza Ferrer, while Juan Tobías finds Juliana on the brink of death and takes her to a hospital. At dawn, the inevitable happens. Marcos is deeply shaken.

Maritza decides to face trial, turns herself in to the police, and vows to uncover the truth. A new ally emerges to support her, and Marcos begins to suspect Bárbara. 

Juan Tobías's father's lawyers have bad news about the espionage case. Pedro's accomplice tries to kill Maritza in her cell, but is terrified when she encounters Juliana.

An enemy of Alberto delivers some very useful documents to Marcos for his purposes. Tired of being scorned by Luzmila, Charlie commits to helping her in exchange for her friendship.

On her last night in jail, Juliana makes a vow to herself, but first she must escape death. Xiomara is not willing to lose Marcos again and goes to a doctor to commit fraud.

Maritza has the chance to send Alberto to prison, but on her mother's advice, she chooses not to. Antonia reveals to Juliana that Marcos is expecting a child with his new wife.

Bárbara acts as the mediator in the kidnapping of Pedrito and Regina, but someone puts her charade at risk. Antonia and Gabriel's bodyguard find Xiomara's weapon, but she has an alibi.

Maritza receives a tribute at the academy for her feat. In the midst of the celebration, night falls, the welcome curtains are opened, and everyone is astonished. Romero recaptures Juliana.

Just after Juliana withdraws the rights to her formula from the Muttis, Regina tells her who her father is. Maritza and Alberto receive another message from the killer with the black gloves.

Someone removes Néstor Fonseca's body. The police search for him alive and keep Maritza and Alberto under surveillance. Juliana confronts Gabriel for having abandoned her and is glad to have taken the formula away from him.

Regina learns about the powers of the magic mirror and the origin and true identity of Maritza Ferrer. Marcos's mistrust of his wife grows and he begins to spy on her; Gabriel also starts to doubt her.

Marcos is very confused. Antonia advises him to find out what is truly in his heart. He gives Juliana a necklace, and a spark ignites between them. Gabriel tries to save the company.

To avoid bankruptcy, Marcos calls Juliana to ask for the rights to the formula, but Maritza forces her to hand them over to Marbella. Gabriel could go to prison for fraud.

Maritza convinces Gabriel and Marcos to sell Mutti Cosmetics and merge it with Marbella, becoming the president of both corporations. Pedro runs over Master Tapias.

Juliana arrives during the signing of the merger between Marbella and Mutti, and Maritza wants to kill her. El Pato and La Negra, Pedro's accomplices, discover the identity of the killer with the black gloves.

Juliana manages to protect the Muttis in the partnership with Marbella. Maritza finds her with Marcos and orders Regina's elimination. Romero and Pedro find El Pato and La Negra at the bottom of a ravine.

Maritza tells Alberto how she plans to destroy Mutti Cosmetics, unaware that someone else is listening. Pedro desperately searches for Regina to kill her, while Néstor prepares his reappearance.

Maritza flees to the airport with Alberto after learning that a judge has frozen her accounts and assets. Xiomara tries to deposit the check from the sale of the Mutti company building and is arrested.

With a new face, Bárbara learns of Marcos and Juliana's wedding and orders Romero to commit another crime, as he confronts Marcos. Juan Tobías is alive and wants to return to his wife.

Bárbara stages her clinical death and involves Alberto, instructing him to give her the antidote within twelve hours. Marcos decides to leave the country, and after experiencing some dizziness, Juliana realizes that something is wrong with her. 

Marcos and Juliana decide to get married, but Bárbara shows up at the party to sow terror. Romero also arrives disguised as a waiter and demands payment from his boss for his unreturned love.
