Ji Gang Hui grew up at Motel California because her father ran the motel in her rural hometown village. Her mother also came from a mixed-raced background. Due to Gang Hui's unusual family background, she was the object of whispers and gossip by the local residents. Gang Hui carried a deep wound in her heart from that time.
