Bäckström travels to Las Palmas in order to investigate the only case he was until then unable to solve.

The two cases seem to be becoming more and more intertwined. The questions are many, who murdered Miguel and why? Who smuggles drugs from Mallorca? Is Sally's cousin involved? Bäckström has his hands full, to say the least, both with the investigation and with Tussan.

Former suspect Ricardo Costa is found murdered. Bäckström promises the family to find the culprit - a promise that may be difficult to keep. What does the vineyard have to do with the murders and the drugs? At the same time, love is budding here and there on the island.

New evidence appears in the investigation surrounding Miguel's death and points to an unexpected suspect in Bäckström's absolute vicinity. In addition, a large contraband load of cocaine is expected to land in Palma shortly. Things start to tighten up but who can you really trust?

Bäckström is first on the scene after the celebrity lawyer Tomas Eriksson is murdered. The police cannot initially rule out that Bäckström himself is the killer. Eriksson was his nemesis. At the same time, new information about the victim's love life is revealed.

Eriksson's murder seems to be intractable, not least when Bäckström is suspended from the investigation and Ankan is forced to take the helm. Bäckström begins to dig into the beating of the baron Von Comer and it soon turns out that the two cases are connected.

An old Russian music box made of gold, depicting the fairy tale character Pinocchio worth around SEK 300 million, seems to be the motive for the murders. Bäckström is trying to map the game owner's former owner in the hope of being able to seize the treasure himself.

Ankan begins to question Bäckström's honesty. Eriksson turns out to have carried a big secret and now light has just been shed on the night of the murder. At the same time, Olsson risks ruining the entire investigation in a desperate attempt to impress Ankan.

Bäckström receives death threats and it seems that Tina is the only one who can help him. The police, led by Ankan and Olsson, are spying on Bäckström's best friend in the hope of leading the investigation forward. At the same time, G Gurra begins to act suspiciously.

End of season. Bäckström realizes that he must hand over Pinocchio to the Russians. The only problem is that he does not know where the music box is. The duck finally sees through Bäckström's lies and their relationship is put to the test. Can they still solve the case?

Murder investigator Evert Bäckström is convinced that crimes have been committed when a women's cranium is found on an island in the archipelago. But his investigation is countered by the police chief and when the woman's identity is clarified, the entire investigation is turned upside down.

Jaidee seems to have died twice, both on the island of Onärds and in the tsunami disaster. Bäckström wants to interrogate the widower Daniel, but when Hwass sits cross and his colleagues distrust him, Bäckström goes ahead with the investigation on his own.

Bäckström goes to Thailand to dig for the truth about Jaidee's life and death. At the same time, the investigative team in Stockholm is following a completely different track. They are convinced that Jaidee died in the tsunami and soon Mimi's husband is arrested.

Bäckström is convinced that Jaidee faked her own death in connection with the tsunami, but the group is skeptical and Bäckström lacks evidence of his theory. Ankan's strike is unsuccessful and she suspects someone in the police house has warned the robber league.

Bäckström is suspended, but still continues his private investigation with the help of his neighbor Edvin. Together, they head to the scout camp to confront Edwin's scout leader Haqvin, who turns out to have connections to both Jaidee and the skull's whereabouts.

Bäckström is broken after a major betrayal, but refuses to give up. Important questions still need answers. Who killed Jaidee and why? And is it still possible to die twice, if you can live twice now?
