The Tigers won last year's meeting 31-16 in Baton Rouge and secured a 28-25 victory in 2021, the last trip to Starkville. MSU's last win over LSU came in 2020, when the Bulldogs defeated the Tigers 44-34 in Baton Rouge, giving the late Mike Leach a victory in his debut as an SEC head coach.
