Jameson Diesburg's investigation, who once feared the case would go cold. The detectives are shocked to learn Earl Simmons allegedly killed two people within four hours and team up to get Simmons off the street. 

During Mardi Gras festivities in New Orleans, Mervin Magee is shot multiple times in the French Quarter; Detective James Fyfe faces an uphill battle to collect footage that shows the identity of the perpetrator before it expires.
