Lauro begins the 1,000-mile Iditarod with his sixteen-dog team, pitted against harsh conditions and rugged terrain in one of the toughest races on earth. Bret and Ivy ascend into the Alaska Range on a high altitude grizzly bear hunt. Jake returns to the mountain after a dangerous encounter to continue his pursuit of a killer tom lion. Paul makes the final run of his trapline, and delivers a bounty of fur to a local trading post.

Lauro continues his quest to complete the Iditarod through the frozen interior of Alaska. Bret and Ivy pursue a bear into dangerously steep terrain. Aron breaks trails after heavy snowfall, while Jen snares rabbits for dinner. Kidd and Harry build an original mountain man fishing boat to navigate rough waters.

Kidd and Harry traverse through intense whitewater to reach the spawning grounds of steelhead trout. Jake loses his dogs after they follow lion tracks into remote and unfamiliar territory. Paul checks his traps and takes home the biggest prize on the mountain. Eustace mills massive beams to repair a deteriorating dock at a local marina. Aron and Jen mill all their own lumber and rebuild a cabin roof.

Jake and his dogs tree three cats in one day. Paul prepares his haul of winter fur for market, and explores a new piece of land to call his own. Eustace builds a boat lift using massive logs and a block and tackle pulley. Aron hustles to restore running water at his homestead, while Jen gets the greenhouse ready for growing season. Ray puts his dog through a series of search and rescue training exercises.

On his 80th birthday Tom builds a teepee, while Nancy plans him a surprise party. Jake runs a mountain lion off the highway during calving season. Paul hauls his trapping shed up a steep and narrow mountain road to new property. Kidd and Harry excavate the side of a hill to build a root cellar. Ray renders fish oil from fresh caught walleye for his traps.

In Wyoming, Josh Kirk attempts to move a 150-year-old log cabin to the heart of his bison ranch, but the hazardous journey threatens to topple the historic structure. And in Alaska, Martha and Elli Tansy each harvest a caribou, sending them on an all-night off-road mission to extract their kills.

In Montana, Tom Oar reunites with partner Sean McAfee to set his winter trap line, but miles of grueling terrain put the veteran trapper's endurance to the test. Newly engaged Jake Herak and Anika Ward fire up their chainsaws and begin building a homestead from scratch. In Idaho, Kidd and Harry Youren round up their cattle from high mountain pastures, but a surprise bear encounter jeopardizes the mission. And in Alaska, Martha and Elli Tansy embark on an off-road expedition to new hunting grounds.

In Idaho, Kidd and Harry Youren hunt a black bear that tore up their camp, but the chase leads them into a dangerous confrontation. In Alaska, Martha and Elli Tansy finally have a bull moose in their sights, and bring it down with precision marksmanship. In Montana, Tom Oar educates 9-year-old Hank McAfee on the traditional skills of trapping and skinning. And Jake Herak uses brute strength to build a bridge to his new homestead.

In Montana, Tom Oar struggles with heart problems, but refuses to give up his Mountain Man way of life. Jake Herak and Anika Ward have added five new puppies to their pack, but preparing the rookie hounds for mountain lion season means running them through a gauntlet of training exercises. In Alaska, Martha and Elli Tansy pack hundreds of pounds of meat back to their base camp, but all could be lost when the brakes fail on the Moose Buggy, sending them into freefall. And Mike Horstman hunts fox for their valuable fur, hoping to earn cash to help him survive a challenging winter.

In Idaho, Kidd and Harry Youren navigate the raging rapids of the Snake River to deliver a scow boat to its new owner. In Montana, Tom Oar teaches 9-year-old Hank McAfee all about trapping. Jake Herak unleashes his young pups on the Mountain Lions of the Tobacco Roots but takes a nasty fall high in the backcountry. Eustace Conway uses all his backwoods skills to build the ultimate firepit for Turtle Island. In Alaska, Martha and Eli Tansy get to work on an all-terrain vehicle that can take on the frozen backcountry of Alaska.

Mike climbs Kodiak Island's highest peaks to take down a mountain goat, then repels down sheer cliffs to bring home his harvest. Martha and Elli use their tracked vehicle to scout new hunting grounds. Tom and Sean canoe into new waters to trap beaver. Jake and his young pups become stranded and are forced to hike out of the mountains at night. Josh has a plan to heat his outpost cabin and brings in some heavy machinery to get the job done.

Eustace Conway digs deep into the hillside to build a greenhouse for Turtle Island.

In Alaska, Martha and Elli Tansy put their new truck to work to clear their road of fallen trees after a violent wind storm. Mike Horstman pursues his next meal by hunting geese off the shore of Kodiak Island.

Tom and Jack Oar build traditional rawhide drums as they prepare to reopen the Trading Post. In Wyoming, Josh Kirk rebuilds his windmill and puts the finishing touches on his outpost cabin to have it ready for calving season. In Idaho, Kidd and Harry Youren lead a pack train of horses deep into the Sawtooth Mountains where they establish a wilderness fishing camp.

In Wyoming, Josh Kirk fends off dangerous bulls to protect a bison mother while she struggles through a difficult birth. In Alaska, Mike Horstman embarks on a journey to the south end of Kodiak Island to hunt for the largest bears on earth. Martha and Elli Tansy travel to the coast to harvest clams and explore a different side of Elli's Native Alaskan roots. In North Carolina, Eustace Conway harvests the strongest wood to build new forges and upgrade Turtle Island's blacksmith shop. In Montana, Jake Herak fights heavy winds to single handedly build a workshop for his homestead.

On the Season 11 Finale, Alaska's Mike Horstman makes a death defying climb up and down the sheer cliffs of Kodiak Island leading to a showdown with a monster brown bear. In Montana, Jake Herak and his hounds turn loose on a black bear that leads them up a gauntlet of falling rock and steep terrain. Tom Oar celebrates his improving health by hunting wild turkeys with his brother Jack. In Wyoming, Josh Kirk has multiple close calls with charging bison while rounding up yearlings for market. In North Carolina, Eustace Conway puts the finishing touches on Turtle Island's new blacksmith forges for the opening of his new camp.

Tom and Nancy face the challenges of isolation at the onset of winter; Jake hunts pronghorn antelope, and faces down a deadly rattlesnake; Eustace has new neighbors and begins teaching them his mountain man ways; Mike takes a perilous sea journey in search of better hunting grounds; and Martha puts her off road capability to the test while traversing Alaska's toughest terrain.

Tom ventures into new territory for beaver, and sets a personal record; Jake puts his young dogs to the test, but one goes missing on the mountain; Kidd and Harry navigate a gauntlet of river ice on a mid-winter fishing expedition; Mike risks being left stranded as he struggles to pack out 500 pounds of feral cow meat; and Josh harvests a bison in preparation for a high stakes taste test with a local butcher.

Eustace uses his Mountain Man knowledge to get water to flow uphill to supply his young neighbors; Jake's truck slides off an icy road leaving him stranded. Mike harvests giant driftwood logs using his amphibious boat; Martha and Elli fulfill their obligation as designated hunters when they deliver game meat to their native elders; Kidd and Harry hunt for elk antler sheds and come away with a big payday.

As the spring melt sweeps the mountains, Jake sets his sights on bagging a black bear for the larder; Eustace and Raleigh race against time and weather to plant crops; Mike sets out to harvest a bounty from the Gulf of Alaska; Kidd and Harry drop and haul lumber for their ranch; and Jason puts his homestead expansion on hold when a tornado comes crashing through.

In the Meltdown finale, Mike escapes the bear-ridden Kodiak interior on foot; Jake runs a lion on foreign ground; Josh does battle with a prairie dog colony; Jason takes his kids' outdoor survival lessons to new extremes; and Kidd and Harry sacrifice one of their cattle for the greater good of the herd.

As winter closes in, Morgan and Margaret fly North to track down the great caribou migration and secure meat; Marty preps his trapline for the arrival of his daughter, Noah; Jake starts his season tracking two lions. Eustace takes on an apprentice and uncovers some illicit activity on his new land; Kidd and Harry rescue horses from a pack of hungry wolves.

Eustace and Raleigh battle a polar vortex to get their lumber business back online; Mike braves a bear-infested landscape in search of fresh meat; Morgan and Margaret chase the migrating caribou, hoping to secure enough food for winter; Jason goes underground searching for iron ore; and Tom and Sean bet big on new trapping grounds.

As night descends across the mountains, Mike treks through bear country with fresh meat on his back; Morgan battles dark and dangerous terrain in a last-ditch effort to fill his freezer; Jake's latest lion hunt takes him deep into wolf territory; Tom joins his brother on an all-night rifle build; and Jason journeys further underground in search of raw iron ore.

Jake will do anything to get his injured dog, Lefty, to the vet. Tom and his brother, Jack, are left high and dry when the well on his ranch stops pumping. In the Ruby Valley... with his prized stud horse, Rusty, threatening to escape and join a wild herd, Rich works on fixing up his corral along with his friend, Brad. But things quickly start going south. In Idaho, George Michaud has a run in with a thieving predator and in North Carolina, Eustace, Preston and Scout continue to work on the damaged tool shed roof, giving Eustace a chance to test Scout's evolving skills.

Tom heads down to Idaho to help his brother break a pair of wild colts. Charlie Tucker returns to action after his shoulder injury, and puts his recovery at risk on Maine's frozen Rowe Lake. Rich sets off on a cougar hunt but ends up having an unexpected run-in with a bear instead, and George continues his frustrating search for food by the Snake River.

The end of Montana's long winter is finally in sight. Tom and Nancy Oar are scrambling to get through the last of their winter works when a surprise call comes in from their family that will force them to make a difficult decision. In the Ruby Valley, Rich passes on some of his lion hunting knowledge to a greenhorn. Eustace takes an opportunity to pay down his loan by building a primitive canoe, but the work is well outside his comfort zone. Charlie continues to struggle with his injury, while racing the change in seasons to secure some final furs, and after a highly successful season, Marty bear proofs his cabin and prepares to head home to Two Rivers.

Winter has finally come to a close, spelling big changes for Tom, who bids farewell to an old friend and packs his bags for Florida.
