After being questioned by Doña Clara, Fina tells Marta her doubts about her marriage to Pelayo. Luz confronts Dr. Herrera about his way of treating patients.

Maria returns dizzy from her meeting with the abortionist. Damián informs Begoña and Andrés of Jesús's attempted coup. The Merinos regret having trusted Jesús. Tasio does not want the recent tensions to spoil Carmen's return. Carmen is back at the store, intent on resolving the conflict with Marta.

Gema tries to win Carmen's favor in order to have more freedom as a shop assistant. Jesús reproaches the Merinos for their unexpected change of heart in the vote: they left him in the lurch. Tasio vents to Carmen his anguish at being caught between the two families. Claudia asks Fina to let her use the girls' dormitory to teach Manuela to read. Don Pedro tries to give Digna some hope...

Maria's health seems to be improving, but she is still not in a condition to leave the big house. Fina begins to realize the pain that Marta and Pelayo's wedding causes her. Jesus discovers the details of Maria's abortion. Carmen and Tasio are tense before the imminent driving test. Andrés brings Marta up to date on what happened with Maria, and they reflect on impossible loves.

Begoña faces the difficult task of breaking the news to Julia about the loss of María's baby. Fina tries to help Carmen with her driving test. Gema explodes at the girls in the shop: she feels she is being left out. Claudia reveals Manuela's secret to Gaspar. Luis informs Digna about the blackmail that Jesús wants to subject them to. Joaquín gets an interview with an investor.

The tricks of Don Pedro and Irene cause Joaquín to arrive late for his meeting with the investor. Digna and Gema are surprised to discover that Joaquín has not spent the night at home. Julia makes Begoña see how much she is saddened by what has happened to María. Don Agustín tells Damián about his doubts about Marta and Pelayo's wedding. Don Pedro asks Irene to find out who the lawyer is.

Begoña's marriage has been annulled. She celebrates with Andrés that she is officially no longer married to Jesús! Claudia apologizes to Gema for her treatment during the first few days of work at the store. Jesús, furious after receiving the marriage annulment, plans to kick Begoña out of the house. Dr. Herrera and Irene have a tense confrontation. María tries to get Damián on her side. Luis tries to get her to leave.

Julia wants to know if Jesus is really her father. Luis is overcome with anxiety when he begins to perceive that he has lost his sense of smell. Digna is still worried about her son's alcoholism. Joaquin seems to have something important to tell, and needs the support of his family and Don Pedro. Despite Andrés's attempts to console her, Maria takes out her frustration over her sterility on Manuela.

Digna tells her children about Julia's interest in finding out about her true origins. There is a stir in the shop: Joaquín's decision to lower wages is not well received at the shop. Don Pedro, who never does anything without a plan, wants to take advantage of the situation to harm Joaquín. Luz has a run-in with Jesús, and for the first time tells him everything she really thinks of him.

Claudia thanks Gaspar for the help he is offering with Manuela, and Carmen realizes how Gaspar feels about Claudia's aunt. Now that Julia knows that Digna is her grandmother, the girl becomes much closer to her and Jesús is not happy about it. After the medical check-up, Luis fears for his future as a perfumer. After his meeting with Don Pedro, Górriz spreads a rumor about Digna in the factory.

After what Górriz did, Tasio hesitates about going to Marta's wedding. Carmen informs the girls that the factory already knows who Tasio's real father is. Joaquín is determined to silence Górriz no matter what. Fina spills the beans to Claudia and tells her what she saw in the cafeteria. María offers to replace Jesús during his absence in France. Begoña criticizes Damián for not stopping...

Begoña shares her frustration with Andrés: if Jesús takes Julia to Paris, he will lose her. Gaspar confesses something to Claudia related to Manuela. Begoña reveals Jesús's plans to Digna and asks for her help to stop him from taking Julia. Górriz confesses to Jesús what Don Pedro did to make Joaquín waver. Fina makes an important decision regarding her attendance at the wedding.

Despite Andrés's support, Begoña cannot accept Julia's imminent departure. Don Pedro manages to stop Jesús's plans in their tracks. Fina, despite her sadness at not being able to attend the wedding, has a touching gesture for Marta. Manuela cares for María, seeing her as an ally.
