Roger and Jo cruise to Teddington Lock to recreate their wedding photos. Claire continues her blooming greenhouse tugboat transformation. Michelle heads out of the Lancashire marina for her first proper cruise.

Paul and Anthony in Cheshire have an adorable new crewmate. Claire reopens the Shanti Tea Boat on the Aire and Calder Navigation, and Michelle makes great strides with her outreach project in Lancashire.

Veteran continuous cruiser Jay embarks on his next adventure in Nottinghamshire, while in Yorkshire, Claire pushes ahead with her tugboat greenhouse dreams. On the Shropshire Union Canal, Paul, Anthony and a flotilla of boaters rock up to an Elvis tribute performed by fellow narrowboater Paul.

In Yorkshire, Claire heads to a local garden centre to kit out her floating greenhouse. Paul rediscovers his artistic side, and his towpath pop-up at Fradley Junction proves a runaway success. Continuous cruiser Jay reaches Stoke-on-Trent just in time for his stand-up comedy performance, but not before a huge canal breach diverts his journey. And will the River Canal Rescue team finally manage to lift the burnt-out boat to safety?

Josh, Hayley and their three children leave Lincoln to cruise closer to family in Milton Keynes, racing against time before their new baby arrives. After 25 years at home in Lancashire, fledgling boater Tom finally casts off from his parents, swapping his childhood bedroom for his own narrowboat and a whole new world. In Birmingham, mature student Gen's plumbing springs a surprise.

Newcomer Tom officially moves aboard his own boat and begins navigating the uncharted waters of solo living - complete with a gourmet dinner for one. Gen launches her very own podcast, but can she stay afloat balancing broadcast dreams with university deadlines? Josh and Hayley's boat, Darth Vader, powers up for its journey south from Lincoln to Milton Keynes. Adam at the Canal and River Trust is making waves of a different kind, using innovative technology to bring water management on the canals into the modern age.

Peter and Noni swap their beloved narrowboat Barbarella for a hire boat, as they set course for the epic Falkirk Wheel, the world's only rotating boat lift. Josh, Hayley and their family celebrate a special birthday afloat, while Tom embarks on his maiden voyage from Nantwich on the Shropshire Union Canal, venturing beyond the marina and into new waters. And a canal infrastructure emergency needs the Canal & River Trust team's urgent attention.

On the Ashby Canal, floating candlemaker Connor gears up for the first day of the trading season as he heads to Whitchurch, and crosses paths with floating favourite The Curry Cruiser. And the Canal River Trust team tackle a stubborn stretch of weeds threatening to clog up the cut near Wolverhampton.

Peter and Noni's Scottish adventure draws to a majestic close in Edinburgh, and Connor is all aglow selling candles at the Whitchurch Boat Festival on the Llangollen. Tom takes a big step in his new floating life, cooking lunch for his parents aboard for the very first time. As they travel through Maghull, en-route to Liverpool, they get a reminder of their time on the rails, at the Frank Hornby Heritage Centre, and they tick another Wetherspoons pub off their list. We return to Doncaster to see how newbie boaters Carrie and her mum Della, from series one, are getting on a year later; are they still afloat? And on the Grand Union Canal near Market Harborough, we meet 'bougie hippies' Adam and Lauren and their dog Shanti, as Lauren harvests a crop from their roof garden for lunch, and Adam welcomes guest Louise to the boat, who is contributing to his new book about life on the water. Meanwhile, The Canal and River Trust implement winter stoppages, so that they can see to essential maintenance and repairs on the 200-year-old network.

We meet Iqbal and Sabahat on the Curry Cruiser, who cook up a feast on their way to the Oxford Festival. And boat painter and signwriter Andy Russell continues work on the project boat in his dry dock in Derbyshire.

Rachel, James and Joe swap their four-bedroom family home in the Welsh Valleys for a 45-foot narrowboat that James has yet to see. And familiar faces Tracey and Tim have had a successful year with the Accessible Waterways Association that they launched last series, and hope to realise an accessible mooring on the network.

And Tim and Tracey host the first Accessible Waterways Association gathering and it's an opportunity for boaters with disabilities to test the new accessible mooring that they have designed alongside the Canal and River Trust.

In Thorne, South Yorkshire, Rachel and James take boat Ruby out for the first time, as neighbour Kate gives them a driving lesson. We meet mum Hannah and her teenage son George, who are planning a trip from their narrowboat home mooring in east London to celebrate George starting secondary school. And with the prototype of the accessible mooring a proven hit, the Canal and River Trust have the first one created in their workshop.

In South Yorkshire, Rachel, James, and son Joe have some help with their list of boat tasks, as they head closer to living the continuous-cruiser lifestyle. We meet The Three Idle Women, a folk group whose songs are based on canal life, who are launching their first album, but there is a lot of work to do first, starting with a towpath rehearsal and a soft launch on the puppet barge in Little Venice, London. And in Birmingham, Tracey and Tim gather a crowd to see the first accessible mooring being established on the towpath.

Photographer Hannah heads out by bike from her boat in east London to capture a familiar face - bike repair man Sam - whose looking for some images to promote his floating business. Near Doncaster, Rachael and James continue their boat renovations, as James creates a unique mural on the side of narrowboat Ruby, before they finally begin their lives as continuous cruisers. And in Birmingham, Tracey and Tim finally see their dream realised, as the Canal and River Trust and Walsall College assist with the official launch of the first accessible mooring.

Carrie, a young woman from Doncaster, is moving from a three-bedroom house onto a permanently moored narrowboat called Mabel, which she plans to redecorate. In Derbyshire, father and son Paul and Chris run their floating pizzeria - The Waltzing Matilda - and travel the canals of the Peak District. And solo boater Emma is taking her newly renovated, historic narrowboat - The Dawn Piper - on an epic adventure. Plus, a visit to the Llangollen horse-drawn boats in Wales to see how canal boats were towed in the past.

Emma continues her travels and tackles one of the seven wonders of the waterways, The Anderton Boat Lift in Cheshire, but her boat is experiencing engine trouble and then springs a leak, which threatens to halt her epic solo adventure. Paul and Chris serve pizzas at a festival, but will they be ready when the hungry crowds appear, and will the generator last the distance? Carrie and her dog Winnie begin their new life on the water, learning to tie knots and beginning to renovate Mabel, but will the sofa that Carrie ordered fit her new narrow home? And at the Llangollen horse-drawn boats, the horses are brought to the canal from nearby fields.

Emma and The Dawn Piper head towards the climax of their adventure - crossing the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct - but will the engine hold out long enough for Emma to realise her dream? Carrie takes Mabel on a cruise, and mum Della has a surprising announcement. Married couple and experienced boaters Paul and Anthony are upgrading to a new eco-boat. After a visit to the boat builders to check on progress, Anthony heads to his land-based job and Paul is left to steer the boat alone.

Family members Gary, Nikki, Noah and Lily cruise the canal network onboard Chugabug. They love the freedom of being on the move as they home-school from their narrowboat. The clan enjoys a nature walk and a picnic, then gets busy in the kitchen, with Noah chatting to a class of children from the USA. Meanwhile, Paul performs his magic show for a school and the guys take delivery of their new eco-boat at the Crick Boat Show.

Paul and Anthony take a final cruise on their old boat - Morning Star - and get a helping hand with their big move to their new boat. Noah celebrates his birthday at Middleton Railway and the family hikes to Malham Cove. Carrie puts the finishing touches to Mabel and there's a birthday party on a horse-drawn boat in Llangollen.

Vic and Jo, who run a cafe boat, cruise the Peak District with their baby William, looking for the perfect place to open for the season. Comedian Joel completes a gig in London and then sets off to unknown territory in the Midlands. On the Oxford Canal, online yoga instructor May is building a new platform on her narrowboat roof. The Canal and River Trust team take out the litter boat to keep Birmingham's canals clear of rubbish.

In the Peak District, Jo has some baking to do for the opening of the spring season and continues to prepare her cookbook draft. Taz and Shashi from the Canal and River Trust team litter boat see a familiar face on a Birmingham towpath.

Joel arrives in Coventry and - with some help from student Daniel - promotes and performs his gig. In the Peak District, Jo trials some new recipes for her cookbook on the towpath. Joe and Rachel have their work cut out renovating their new home, narrowboat Windfish, as their move starts with a bang. Plus, Shashi from the Canal and River Trust team in Birmingham encourages more volunteers to get involved with their local waterways.

Bird-loving retired couple Nigel and Diane visit Pennington Flash nature reserve on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal - where things get a bit competitive. In the Peak District, Vic, Jo and William cruise to find the perfect location for the cookbook launch, while renovations continue for Joe and Rachel on the Oxford Canal.

Nigel and Diane set off to the Standedge Tunnel, one of the seven wonders of the waterways, but unexpected news alters their plans. Rachel and Joe build a new kitchen for their narrowboat, Windfish, and it's the big cookbook launch day for Vic and Jo in the Peak District. Meanwhile, the Canal and River Trust team volunteer workforce attempts to plant the longest linear orchard in the world, along Birmingham's canals.
