Milo refuses to accept that he has MS, but a patient who has undergone botched cosmetic surgery confronts him with his fate. Luna is eager to secure a residency position but unexpectedly finds herself facing Kyra. After his mother's accident, Kees throws himself into his work and into his colleague Willeke from the pediatric ward. Casper is disappointed in Rose and pleads with the new charming director Marleen for more psychiatric care in the emergency room.

Luna and Kyra compete for the residency position. Ingrid is concerned about a patient who is struggling with unexplained abdominal pain. Milo finds himself in a precarious situation and can no longer hide his illness from Luna. Casper makes Olivia think about her place in the ER. After a confrontation between Casper and Rose, Rose makes a decision about her marriage.

A power outage turns everything upside down and catches the attention of a diligent journalist. After unsuccessful resuscitation attempts, Kees' emotions about his mother's death surface and Milo tries to rekindle his friendship with Ingrid. Casper gives Olivia the chance to move up the ladder and Rose forces Marleen to be honest about what she is doing at the MCW. Luna treats a child with a strange bite wound and realizes that Kyra no longer wants to be in the operating room, but why?

Rose believes that staff should be aware of what is happening, but Marleen disagrees. Luna and Kyra treat victims of an accident, and Luna learns more about Kyra. Ingrid encounters an old acquaintance on the treatment table and is the only one who notices that something is wrong. When Milo dismisses an incident as insignificant, she can no longer keep quiet. Kees throws himself (a little too) enthusiastically at Willeke, and Rose and Casper find each other again.

Milo is called to task by Rose and has to change course. Kyra takes on Luna in a role-play by Casper and is touched by a pregnant patient who has more going on than meets the eye. Olivia does her best, but juggling her studies with work and family is proving difficult. Ingrid has journalist Judith on her doorstep and discovers what is going on at the MCW. Rose is honest with Simon, and Kees is shocked when he hears through the grapevine what is going on with Milo.

Luna is confronted with a dissatisfied patient. Milo does his utmost to reunite two lovers after a serious medical emergency. Kyra explores her options and discovers where she belongs. Olivia has to take an exam but is worried about Kees, who has called in sick. Luna disagrees with Casper about the treatment of a GHB overdose, and Rose wants to take a different course with Casper.

A critical publication about the MCW puts pressure on Ingrid and Rose. Milo treats a strict Calvinist patient and is thrown back into his past. Kyra wants to return to the operating room, and Luna helps her in her battle against Pierre. Kees makes progress with Marie about his grief, and Casper's teenage son ends up in the emergency room. Luna receives support in the disciplinary council from an unexpected source.

Milo is under public scrutiny. Rose tries to protect him but encounters Marleen and becomes entangled in a moral dilemma. Luna and Kyra advance in their battle against Pierre. Meanwhile, Ingrid attempts to persuade her ex-lover to seek treatment, Kees experiences a minor breakthrough with Marie, and Olivia struggles with mixed feelings about her position in the emergency room.

Rose is confronted by Milo, who shows up at work against her advice, and by Luna and Kyra, who reveal the misconduct in the operating room to her. Milo has to work with an old rival to treat a prepper, and Kees is saddled with an overzealous intern. Kyra faces a devilish dilemma, Olivia makes a decision, and Kees says goodbye to his mother in his own unique way.

Casper experiences a few frightening moments due to an old acquaintance. Rose receives ominous news about Simon. While Ingrid fights for Milo and the future of the hospital, Milo receives an unexpected visitor at home. At Kees' surprise party for his 25th anniversary, Marleen arrives with negative news. Luna and Kyra make their own plans and find each other.

Luna, the new nurse at the Emergency Room, is doing her best to prove herself. It doesn't help that her mother Rose is on her skin. Head doctor Milo skillfully conceals his dalliance with nurse Ingrid.

Luna does not follow protocol when she administers morphine to a patient and gets her mother on her roof. Milo and Casper get stuck in the treatment of a critically ill man with fear of needlesticks.

Luna sympathizes enormously with a seriously ill patient and therefore speaks loudly. Rose doubts whether Luna is tough enough for her profession. Rose herself is under pressure to make cuts.

Luna comes into conflict with the more experienced nurse Kyra about a pregnant patient who is considering an abortion. Milo and Kees are each touched in their own way by an old, sick man who has no one.

Luna's father Simon reports to the ER with a large cut. Kyra discovers his secret. While Luna and Casper insist on psychological help, Rose suffers from shame.

Luna's friend has an epileptic seizure the morning after a party and Luna goes to the emergency room, broke and in good shape. She takes a bad turn with Kyra and her mother.

Luna wants to prove herself and assists in the operating room, much to Kyra's annoyance. She has to deal with a bully of a surgeon. Kees treats a Bulgarian man who has been thrown out of a car in front of the door.

There is chaos in the ER due to football riots, while Milo is not feeling well at all. He treats an injured supporter who was going to donate his kidney to his wife, but the question is whether the transplant can still go ahead.

After her mistake, Luna struggles with fear of failure. She has to treat a wayward woman with a high BMI on her own, because Milo is rebellious and is mainly concerned with the results of his scan.

Casper has to go to a conference in Berlin and tries to get Rose to come along. Rose has doubts and meanwhile gets Pierre on her roof, who wants her to fire Olivia. Luna, together with Casper, treats a confused man.
