The Rubbish World of Dave Spud

Dave is practising for Grimsby's Grimmest Face competition and finds that the wind changing direction really can cause the face to stick...

Gran has been particularly naughty lately and is sentenced to a stay in an old people's home, but the home is the stuff of nightmares for Gran, and it's soon up to the Spuds to break her free.

Dave and his friends get lost on a school orienteering exercise thanks to Robert Robot, who is unable to read the map - snatched by a flock of giant tiger pigeons and deposited into their equally giant nest, Dave must retrieve the map from Robert and get them all back to school.

Dave stumbles across a mermaid at the dockside who invites herself round for tea and takes up residence in the Spuds' bathtub, so Dave and his family must somehow persuade their unwanted guest to go back to her watery home.

Dave and his friends embark on a school trip along a canal where they awaken an ancient monster called Big Lippy, who pushes them over a waterfall and sends them back in time to the Jurassic era.

Dave finds a handheld computer game at the dump which involves killing zombies - his friend Zombie Katie, however, finds the game rather insulting. Exacting her revenge, Dave finds himself confronted with a group of very angry and very real zombies.

Dave is warned by local fortune teller Madam Donald that walking under a ladder will bring bad luck - he walks under one anyway, and soon a meteor is heading for Grimsby. It is up to Dave and his friend Robert Robot to catch it before everyone is squished.

Anna is training to be a magician with Dave as her helpful assistant, but their disappearing trick is not up to much - that is, until Zombie Katie bestows a magic spell book upon them. Soon they can't stop making stuff disappear, but what will happen when there is nothing left to make disappear in Grimsby?

Lil Sue has started a delivery company called Deliver Sue, and in a quest to raise money for a new set of wheels, Dave lands himself with a job - Anna thinks she knows how to deliver packages quicker than Dave, though, and a dramatic sibling rivalry soon unfolds.

Dave is thrilled when he wins an electronic home help device called Barry - finally, his family can boss something around other than him, but it is not long before Barry is overwhelmed by the Spuds' demands. Fighting back, Barry takes over Grimsby Heights and heads off to the sea for some well-earned peace and quiet.

The Spuds take the camper van on holiday, and end up at the bottom of the sea. Dave has to resort to a resourceful solution to get help.

Dave rescues an endangered donkey from the docks. Hiding it in the camper van, things take a turn when the donkey eats Gran's glasses.

Fuzzypeg eats the Spuds' fish supper and Dave has to catch another. Things look up when he hooks something, but it turns out to be a whale.

George takes Dave on an adventure camping, but Dave isn't sure it's a great idea. He's proved right when they both wake up in a bear's cave.

Gran accidentally wins a board game as a Bingo prize, and after being locked up for years the game has a vendetta all of its own.

Betty wants a nice photo of Dave and Anna, but the camera George uses happens to belong to Gran, and it's been cursed by an ancient mummy.

If there were two things Dave could wish for it would be for Fuzzypeg to smell better, and for Gran to be nicer. Is getting what you want always a good thing?

Dave gets a girlfriend who turns out to be an alien. And she turns out to bear a striking similarity to a everyday household item.

Anna is practising for the school cycling test and is good at it. Dave isn't quite as skilled, but with a new bike from his parents he really hopes to pass.

George takes the Spuds to the museum of mouldy cheese. Anna dares Dave to lick the cheeses on display.

Dave is given a bulb to grow. Popping it in his lunch box, it isn't long before he discovers it's partial to Betty's sandwiches.

George adapts the spin cycle of the washing machine causing a black hole to form in the Spuds' kitchen.

Gran needs new teeth. Probably not wise to nab a set found on the side of the road though, under a full moon.

George wins tickets to the local stately home. It's not long before Dave and the rest of the Spuds find themselves lost in its maze.

Summer rears its hot, cheeky head in Grimsby but Dave has found a way to keep the Spud flat nice and cool. Maybe too cool.

Dave demands to go on a foreign exchange. He soon finds himself headed for a week-long stay in a flat a few doors down.

George finds a computer called Val but Val has a mind of her own. Soon she's set about uploading embarrassing videos to social media.

It's the biggest sporting event in Grimsby - the bog roll roll. All Dave has to do is chase the bog roll down the hill and catch it.

The Spuds don't care about a carbon footprint, since George has come home with a haul of free electronics that they all want to test out.

Dave wants to learn to play the drums at school, but is given the recorder. With a talent show around the corner, Dave gets practising.

Dave and Fuzzypeg the dog get dirty playing at the local dump, so dirty in fact that Fuzzypeg picks up an extremely grumpy flea.

Dave's first plane journey doesn't go to plan when the air pressure and the need to go to the toilet makes his head swell.

Instructed to keep an eye on Gran while the rest of the Spuds visit to the doctor, Dave finds that she has escaped.
