Richard Belzer

Richard Belzer enjoyed a long and distinctive television career, primarily known for his portrayal of Detective John Munch. This iconic character first appeared on NBC's Homicide: Life on the Street in 1993 and later became a main fixture on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit for 15 seasons, starring in over 300 episodes. Munch's unprecedented journey saw him cross over into numerous other TV series, including Law & Order, The X-Files, The Wire, and Arrested Development, making him one of the most widely traveled characters in television history. Beyond his signature role, Belzer also appeared as a featured player on Saturday Night Live early in his career and hosted the talk show Hot Properties.
