Julie Kavner began her television acting career gaining widespread recognition for her Emmy-winning portrayal of Brenda Morgenstern on the sitcom Rhoda from 1974 to 1978. She later joined The Tracey Ullman Show, where she voiced Marge Simpson and other characters in animated shorts that eventually spun off into their own series. Kavner has since become synonymous with The Simpsons, providing the distinctive voices for Marge Simpson, Patty Bouvier, Selma Bouvier, and numerous other supporting characters for over three decades, making her a staple of animated television.
