Gwen Taylor has enjoyed a prolific television acting career spanning several decades, first gaining widespread recognition as Amy in the popular 1980s sitcom Duty Free. Her versatile performances also saw her lead the cast as Barbara Liversidge in the BBC comedy Barbara and portray Anne in A Bit of a Do. Taylor further became a familiar face to audiences through her long-running role as Peggy Armstrong in the ITV drama Heartbeat. More recently, she joined the cast of the iconic soap EastEnders as Vi Highway, showcasing her enduring presence on British television.
