Having established himself as a television actor in the United Kingdom, Kevin McKidd first gained international attention as Lucius Vorenus in the HBO/BBC historical drama Rome, appearing in 22 episodes from 2004 to 2007. He then starred as time-traveling journalist Dan Vasser in the NBC series Journeyman in 2007. McKidd is most widely recognized for his enduring portrayal of Dr. Owen Hunt on the ABC medical drama Grey's Anatomy, a role he has played for over 15 years and more than 300 episodes, also directing numerous installments of the long-running series.
