Ann Sothern established herself as a prominent television actor, starring as Susie McNamara in the popular 1950s sitcom Private Secretary. She continued her TV career with The Ann Sothern Show, portraying Katy O'Connor from 1958 to 1961, a role that earned her an Emmy nomination. Later, Ann Sothern lent her distinctive voice to the titular character, Mother the 1928 Porter (formerly Gladys Crabtree), in the 1965-1966 TV series My Mother the Car. Her extensive television career also included numerous guest appearances across various TV series.
