Mehcad Brooks

Mehcad Brooks began his television career with roles in series like Boston Public and a notable arc as Matthew Applewhite on Desperate Housewives. He gained wider recognition for his portrayal of Benedict "Eggs" Talley in the HBO drama True Blood and later as James Olsen, also known as Guardian, across over 90 episodes of Supergirl on The CW. Brooks continued his work in network television, taking on the role of Detective Jalen Shaw in the NBC procedural Law & Order, a character he also introduced in Law & Order Special Victims Unit.
