Steven Hill established a prolific television acting career that began in the 1950s with numerous guest roles. He gained early recognition as team leader Daniel Briggs in the first season of CBS's Mission: Impossible, appearing from 1966 to 1967. Hill later became widely recognized for his long-running role as District Attorney Adam Schiff on NBC's Law & Order, a character he portrayed for ten seasons and over 200 episodes.
