Beginning his extensive television acting career in the 1960s, Patrick Stewart became globally recognized for his iconic portrayal of Captain Jean-Luc Picard across 178 episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation from 1987 to 1994, a character he later revisited in Star Trek: Picard. Earlier in his career, he delivered a notable performance as Sejanus in the 1976 BBC historical drama I, Claudius. Beyond live-action roles, Stewart has also been a prominent voice actor, giving life to Avery Bullock in the animated series American Dad! for many years. He also took on the challenging role of Captain Ahab in the 1998 miniseries Moby Dick.
