Claire Sweeney

Claire Sweeney's television acting career began prominently with her long-running portrayal of Lindsey Stanlow in the Channel 4 soap opera Brookside, a role she held from 1991 to 2003. She later diversified her TV work, appearing in various series such as Benidorm and The Good Ship Murder as Beverley Carnell, alongside her role as a panellist on Loose Women. Sweeney also joined the cast of the ITV soap Coronation Street, taking on the significant role of Cassie Plummer in 2023.
